More About Us

For over 70 years, Simes Bros Coaches has been proudly keeping the Northern Rivers moving. Since our humble beginnings in 1952, we’ve grown from a single local service into a trusted, family-run coach company offering safe, comfortable transport across Lismore, Tweed Heads, Byron Bay, Ballina, Grafton, Coffs Harbour, and beyond.


Our journey began with helping local workers get to and from their jobs in the 1950s. In the 1970s, we were there when free bus travel for children was introduced. By the 1990s, coach travel demand had taken off, and we were right at the heart of it—expanding our fleet and services to support the needs of schools, communities, and businesses throughout the region.


Today, we provide everything from scenic coach tours and private charters to school excursions, airport transfers, and corporate event itineraries. While our services have grown, one thing hasn’t changed—our commitment to the community. We’re proud to now employ over 20 local families, and we continue to operate with the same dependable values that shaped our start.
